Description
A Mountain Landscape Gaiwan Set
This gongfu tea set brings together a hand-painted porcelain gaiwan, a fairness pitcher and six small tea cups. Blue mountains, houses, water and birds form a small landscape across the porcelain, alongside translucent rice-grain details.
Made for Shared Tea
There is a new part of the scene to notice as you turn the bowl between pours. The pitcher lets you distribute an infusion among the cups, with a complimentary ceramic strainer included for serving.
Details to Notice
The landscape composition gives this set a more pictorial character than a repeated floral border. This gaiwan tea set keeps the matching serving pieces together as one complete set.
Brewing and Care
Place the gaiwan on its saucer, add your tea and brew to suit the leaves. Tilt the lid to leave a pouring gap, then decant through the strainer into the fairness pitcher. The pitcher holds less than the main vessel, so leave space when brewing or decant in stages. We recommend washing each piece gently by hand and drying it before storage.
Small Differences, Made by Hand
Hand-painted lines, color depth and placement may vary slightly from piece to piece. These differences are part of the character of the decoration; the photographs show the design rather than an identical brushstroke on every item.
